Who We Are
alamovotesblue.org ("AVB") is a small group of people in the San Antonio/Bexar County area who got together because we want to be informed citizens and voters and we want to make a difference. Together, we are a multi-cultural group with experience in business, academia, government, the military, health care, education, technology, nonprofit organizations, and unions.
Members of the group identify as Democrats, Progressives and Independents. While we support the goals of the Democratic Party, we have no formal relationship with the Democratic Party, and the Party is not responsible for the opinions expressed on this website. We may not always align with every plank of the party platform: We figure that's what democracy is all about. We are self-funded: We do not raise money, nor does any organization fund us.
This website evolved from our efforts to research and get objective facts about politics and government.
Our geographical area includes voters in Bexar County and outlying counties that share U.S. Congressional and state Legislative districts with Bexar County.
Our Goals
Get Out the Vote (GOTV)The ultimate goal of our work is to encourage others to be critical thinkers and informed, committed voters. We want this website to be a one-stop-shop for anything related to voting: how to register, how to vote, candidates and issues.

Research & AnalysisWe do a lot of research, discuss with each other what we learn and try to come to a consensus in our group. We thought it would be valuable to other people if we built this website to distill our research into easily digestible information that everyone can use.

Assist Precinct ChairsSeveral members of our group are Precinct Chairs, which is why we have made a commitment to provide information and materials for precinct chairs and coordinators in our area to help them with strategy and messaging.
